Nellie Stone Johnson was a labor union activist with a long and distinguished record of public service in support of the advancement of minority concerns, the rights of workers, and equal opportunities for all people. 

The scholarship that bears her name provides financial assistance to racial/ethnic minority union members and their families who wish to pursue postsecondary education at one of Minnesota's state universities or at one of the two year community and technical colleges that are part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU). 

This dinner is a fundraiser for the Nellie Stone Johnson Scholarship.  AFSCME Local 2508 voted to support this scholarship by paying for half a table and sending 4 members- first come first serve.  If you have a desire to go contact a board member and they will fill you in on the details.  If the spots have already been taken you can purchase a ticket (click here).
